The business of selling food as a street vendor has seen a recent rise in popularity and a new generation of entrepreneurs.

CNBC recently reported some encouraging news for entrepreneurs in the food industry. The news agency says that a new generation of small business owners is bringing gourmet offerings to the business of street food.

While street food offerings have traditionally been associated with pretzels and hot dogs, CNBC says a new host of offerings are becoming available, including Kobe-beef burgers and Taiwanese-style fried chicken.

Mortgage rates are lower again this week thanks to the financial issues going on in Europe. 30 year mortgage rates are down to 4.78 percent for the week ending May 27, 2010 in Freddie Mac’s current Primary Mortgage Market Survey. This is the lowest point 30 year mortgage rates have been since December 3, 2009. Mortgage discount points averaged 0.7 points on 30 year mortgages.

Digital development companies have accused a council of ignoring the wealth of talent on its doorstep.

Brighton and Hove City Council recently announced the release of AroundMe, an app for the iPhone that allows users to find nearby services such as recycling points, toilets, shops and restaurants.

It has since emerged that the software was created by a company called Mubaloo, which has offices in London and Bristol.
