Not every company that operates has to have public liability as part of their business insurance package, but the majority of companies that have property that a customer can physically access need to have this coverage in case of an accident.

If we knew when accidents were going to happen, then we would change the scenario and prevent them from happening. Instead we have no idea when something tragic is going to befall us, so we need to buy coverage in policies that will protect our assets and interests in the event of the unthinkable happening.

If you own property where you perform your job, and other people come to that property as clients or customers, then at any moment one of these people could possibly be injured while they are on your property, and you would be liable for the damages they suffer.

All it takes is for someone to trip on a rug, and they could fall and injure themselves, and damage some piece of personal property they may have been carrying when they fell. Read more…

House hunters know they can find properties for sale on the Internet. In fact, 93% of home buyers start their search online. There are literally thousands of real estate websites and property search engines that allow buyers to see MLS listings from the convenience of a computer. So why is a professional real estate agent necessary?

Sure, nine out of 10 buyers may find homes they want to see on the web, but that is only the first step in actually purchasing a property. Next there’s visiting the properties, researching comparables to determine offer price, getting preapproved for financing, submitting an official offer, dealing with counter offers, negotiating final price and terms, setting up an inspection, having a real estate attorney review the contract, getting approved for a mortgage loan, filing the necessary paperwork for title transfer… shall we go on? And

If youre an agent working today, then you already know the importance of a good web presence.

What you may not know, however, is what constitutes good.

If you have a website, take a look at this list to make sure youre not falling victim to technology. After all, having a megaphone is one thing; using it wisely is another.

Does your website scream #1 anything? Stop it. Sure, you may be the number one agent in your market, and you may have famous clients. But your potential clients dont care. They only want to make sure that you will help them find a home or sell their existing home.

Whos the focus here anyway: your ego or the client?

Justjust dont play music in the background.

Your online business has three major components: taking orders from customers for goods or services, shipping orders to the customers, and processing online payments. Of course there is more involved than that, but you probably spend the greater part of your time making sure that those three components run efficiently. With a merchant services account, you will find that processing those online payments has never been easier or more beneficial to your business. Here is how you can get started.

Contact your merchant services provider or, if you don’t already have one, shop for one. Interview a few and ask any questions that you have. Will their service allow you to accept all forms of electronic payments? Do they have around-the-clock support? Do they offer state-of-the-art security for customer payment information? Do they understand the financial needs of your particular business? Explain your needs to the representatives of the merchant services provider that you choose and then sit back and let them do the work.

Your merchant services provider will create an online payment system that works for you. With cutting-edge solutions and state of the art programs, they will quickly provide you with the ability to accept validate and process customers’ online payments. The programs should include built-in fraud detection tools that keep your cash flow secure from invalid credit cards or other fraudulent payment types. The software should process customer payment information smoothly, efficiently and securely. There should be no ‘hiccups’ in processing payments — after all, you don’t want to aggravate your customer when they get to your online checkout page

All major brands of credit cards are accepted through most merchant services online payment processes, and your provider should be no different. When you accept all major credit cards, you’ll never have to turn away customers because your business doesn’t accept their brand of credit card. With a professionally designed merchant services online payment process, customer credit card information is validated instantly, allowing your business to process the customer’s order quickly. That is a timesaving benefit that both of you will appreciate.

After validation and acceptance, customer payments are deposited into your bank account automatically, usually within days and often overnight. You’ll no longer have to wait a week or more for the customer to mail you a check, then another week or longer for that check to clear and transfer to your bank account. You will have much quicker access to the funds, which will improve your cash flow.

You’ll also offer your customers security, because merchant services providers must be PCI-compliant. That means that — by law — the software involved is the best at protecting customer information. In addition, that information will no longer reside on your computer equipment.

Whatever online credit card processing needs your business has, your merchant services provider can meet them. After all, they are the experts, and they are willing and ready to help you bring your business completely into the digital age.
