We all know how important it is to have good, effective and cooperative team of people in our company or in our working surrounding.

People we are working with could be our cause of problems at work or the reason we don’t like our job. On the other hand, our colleagues could be our office friends since no one can understand better our business challenges than the person who deals with the same problems. Even if you don’t feel like being too close with someone you share your office space with, you cannot avoid some kind of communication. Complete atmosphere in one company depends on the way that people communicate between themselves in their working environment. More importantly, the efficiency of one company depends on inter-human office communication.

Results of one American workers’ survey show that 67% of people believe that having friends at work makes their job more enjoyable, while 55% have reported that these relationships make their job more worthwhile and satisfying.

Not only that office buddies could make your working hours more fun, but also good business and cooperative communication could be very useful for your career. Working together, you are often in situation to sing each other’s praises to the boss and cover for one another in a pinch. These relationships could be long lasting, and people can bring you along to new places.

However, not all jobs provide basis of great office communication. Not all of us work with the people they would like to chat with or share their problems at work. Still, as generally in life, there are always people around us which we communicate on daily basis and share some aspect of business responsibilities or interests.

Easier communication, kindness and cooperative attitude are something that each company’s success is closely connected to.

For someone who has just changed her/his job, being in completely new environment could be uncomfortable and even stressful. However, there is one thing you should know. New employees are always prime friendship candidates, whether you’re joining the company or you have just been moved from the other department. Being new in the team might also put you in the center of gossips and other’s people relations. Always make your connections and opinions according to your impression and experience.

This brings us to another very typical office situation. Finding a common enemy is often the stalwart of office friendships. But this is something you can overdo. While it’s undeniably true that nothing binds us human beings together in quite the same way as finding somebody else we can’t stand, it can all get a bit toxic, with some very bad consequences.
